I might be an Englishman in America, but this was plain absurd.

I have this verified in OpenBSD. I imagine the same is true of FreeBSD, a Linux distro, any OS really, though I haven’t checked it everywhere else.

I’m using MoinMoin to serve a wiki at work. Today was the alpha test, where I asked two people to start using it with me. I encountered an issue immediately. A swift google leads me to believe any moinmoin user will encounter this.

Trying to edit a page in gui mode gives the error “‘module’ object has no attribute ‘expat'”.

The solution was relatively painless. The problem is that python-expat is required for MoinMoin to work in gui editing mode. The solution was to pkg_add the appropriate code:

pkg_add ftp://ftp5.usa.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/4.0/packages/i386/python-expat-2.3.5p4.tgz

And all was dandy.
